About the Course
The American Heart Association’s Heartsaver First Aid Course is designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs to be prepared to respond to emergencies at work or in the community. This hands-on class teaches participants how to recognize and respond to the most common first aid emergencies, including injuries, medical conditions, and environmental emergencies.
Topics include:
How to respond to bleeding, sprains, broken bones, and burns
Managing choking, allergic reactions, and diabetic emergencies
Recognizing stroke, heart attack, and other medical conditions
Responding to heat- and cold-related emergencies
Upon successful completion, participants receive a 2-year AHA Heartsaver First Aid certification card. This course is ideal for workplace training, community groups, coaches, childcare providers, and anyone who wants to be prepared to help in an emergency.
