About the Course
The American Heart Association (AHA) Family & Friends® CPR Course is an introductory, non-certification program designed for anyone who wants to learn how to respond in a cardiac or breathing emergency. This course is ideal for parents, grandparents, caregivers, school staff, babysitters, and members of the community who want the confidence to act in an emergency until professional help arrives.
Participants will learn the basic skills of:
Adult Hands-Only CPR
Child and Infant CPR
Relief of choking in adults, children, and infants
Proper use of an AED (Automated External Defibrillator)
The course uses instructor-led practice and video demonstrations to provide a relaxed, hands-on learning experience. While it does not result in a certification card, participants will leave with the knowledge and confidence to take immediate lifesaving action in emergencies involving family, friends, or bystanders.
This approachable class is perfect for those who want to be prepared to save a life but do not require a formal CPR credential.
